It does feature three different CCD sensors operate independently and seamlessly depending on the resolution and setting you choose. One colour sensor works at high speeds to generate scans of superior image quality. A second colour sensor produces high resolution scans of up to 4800 dpi optical resolution for photos, 35mm negatives and slides. The third monochrome sensor operates at even higher speeds, for efficient scanning of greyscale and black-and-white images.
